Hi everyone. I am semi new to the world of raising rabbits. I adopted Baby Rue today. It was sort of a rescue in a weird way. Regardless I am very happy and proud to have her(we think she might be a she but she could be a he) home.
I believe she may either be a Rex or Satin, not 100% sure. She is just over a month old and the sweetest little critter ever. She loves to snuggle and is very happy to be home and loved.
I am now on a mission to educate myself as much as possible on having a rabbit at home. I briefly had a Dwarf Netherland about 8 years ago but he was the devil and after attacking the vet I decided he was not the right choice for a first time owner so I found a new home with more experienced owners.
So I am here to learn as much as I can to be the best Momma I can. I also have a 3 year old Maltese dog who is a complete angel. She has never once shown even the slightest sign of aggressiveness and she seems to have adopted Rue as her own little puppy. Which we will be forever heavily supervising because you just never know. However my son grabbed her furr and yanked it when he was a newborn and she just looked at me going "why Mommy?" lol. My nephews have also drug her around by her ears and she never did anything. She loves all creatures be it human or animal.
Anyway I am rambling at this point but I just wanted to say Hello and I can't wait to learn as much as possible.
And no thread is complete without pictures so this is Baby Rue
