So we are getting the deluxe marshall Playpen for the bunny to live in and the mat/cover to go on top so she doesnt jump out.
But what can you guys recommend to put on the bottom of the pen so she doesnt ruin the carpet o_O since she isnt fully litter box trained yet lol.

And another thing...is it normal for her to leave a poop trail whereever she hops O_O..she isnt spayed/neutered yet.hopefully by august i will have enough money. she will be six months in julyish the doc said

You can put lino on the floor as it's easy to clean the pee up and sweep the hay up. and he pooping all the time is normal as she is not neutered so she is just marking her territory x

We don't use lino as it's slippery for buns. When Nancy took a bunny to her class, I had a playpen set up with indoor carpet with a plastic tarp under. Bunny got good traction and the classroom carpet didn't get stained. Bunnies are notorious 4 legged poop machines and they like to mark their territory. Our boy Stockton would lay down for 5 minutes and when he got up there'd be thirty pellets.

I have linoleum tile that is made to feel like actual tile. So it's actually textured and has a really good grip on it, as opposed to the ones that tend to have a plastic sheen. The problem with that is it has to be mounted to a piece of plywood since it doesn't come in a roll.

I'd suggest either indoor/outdoor carpeting or the carpeting they use on boats (which might be the same for all I know) with a tarp beneath it to double protect the carpet beneath. That way it could be vacuumed or hosed off and dried in the sun.

I use a tarp with a king-sized flannel sheet over it. Then I can just toss the sheet into the washer and wipe up the tarp. Max isn't bad with poop trails, but Nestle sure can leave 'em down. LOL

Fence off areas (by creating obstacles or using a fence) that you don't want poop trails - especially if you don't want to haul out the couch a whole bunch to vacuum it - at least until she doesn't feel the need to mark everything, or until you get used to having poop everywhere.

lol definately not used to it yet. Im also hoping that the spayingi will hopefully have done in august (if i can afford it) will help slow down the poop trails
I picked them up once and it almost sounded like she growled at me O.O

I would be very careful about any sort of carpet. If bun bun wants to chew on the carpet it can actually make her really sick.

As for poop trails... when someone figures out how to stop them please let me know! I can have Rue out of her cage in her play area for 20 minutes and there will be 40 some odd pellets *sigh*

Ive gotten use to poop. Sad, yes, but true lol. I use to look like a freak when I would put the buns back. Lifting things, pulling things just to get to one little poop. Now, it can just stay where its at if i dont see it lol. I also blocked off under the couch and areas like that because reaching for poop is no fun.

So i just set up her new home..ITS HUGE O.O takes up half my room X.x..plenty enough room for her at least lol. only thing now is the floor cover that i bought with it she likes to naw on so ..i will probably go with another kind of material that she cant pull in and bite o_O

My cat is lookig at her like food now -.-
