i am new to having a bun should i get him fixed or should i just let him be?
From what I have read, two years old is at a higher risk and thebiggest issue is with the anesthesia. With younger buns they just putthem under and operate, with an older bun they do bloodworkto see if everything is okay and to see if theres a possibility theanesthesia will cause some sort of problem...usually not being able tometabolize it out properly. and its the same rule with ppl as bunnies..younger ppl usually do better in surgery than older..not to say thatanythingwill go wrong. you may just end up with a longerre-coop time.Freddysmom, do you know if spaying an older female (2 yrs) is risky?
A vet told me about spaying reducing chances ofcancer, but what about the chance of something going wrong during thesugery?

Definately have the talk with your vet and go from there.He/She may also have some advice to offer with bonding the two.thanks freddysmom.
i wouldn't have considered getting Rue spayed except that i can't bondher and Kweli, who is also female. Kweli is only 4 months old but Rueis the one who doesn't want to be friends. but they are doing fineliving separated, and i wouldn't want to risk losing The Rue.
