Last week we got our first bunny we had very little information about her as we bought we at rural king (like tractor supply) and it turns out that she was very sick when we got her. She passed away yesterday even with vet treatment. My son is way to young to understand what happened so this morning after buying a new cage, liter box and toys we brought home a new bunny.
I’m seriously over worrying so much about this little girl. We decided to pay the extra money to go to a breeder. She is a 8 week old holland lop. I’ve left her alone for the most part other than to quickly check on her so she can get use to her new home. She has stayed in her litter box eating tons of hay. Three concerns are
1 - she hasn’t pooped yet. Our first bunny never pooped when we brought her home, so Im obviously worried about her.
3 - she drank from a bowl with the breeder so we gave her a bowl full of fresh water but she hasn’t left her litter box to drink any. I went ahead and added a bottle right by her litter box so she could drink but she has no interest in that.
2 - her breathing seems off to me. I can’t seem to get a video posted, but it’s fast breathing. She is shaking but it almost looks like she is vibrating kinda. Normal considering I’m sure she is scared of her new surroundings? Or a cause for concern?
