:hello
So yesterday my Lionhead doe Cat gave birth to 6 baby bunnies. She is blue pointed white lionhead and the buck is chestnut agouti. The babies all look pinkish but some are lighter then others. Will they all be white like the mom or can they still come out colored?

Do you know the history of the parents and what colors come from them? When you say brown otter do you mean chocolate otter? It looks like you could get pointed whites depending on what the father carries, if he is truely chocolate otter I believe that would give him a higher possibility of being able to produce pointed whites. The points wont show until around 10-16 days sometimes it might be shorter or longer. Heres their genetics:
Otter: at_B_C_D_E_
Pointed White:
aaB_ch_D_E_ (black),
aaB_ch_ddE_ (blue)
aabbch_D_E_ (chocolate)
aabbch_ddE_ (lilac)

Pictures when they are 5-14 days old would help determine colors. When they are younger you are kind of just playing a guessing game unless you are really experienced. Once they open their eyes it usually is super easy to tell colors

Chestnut often look black when born (time helps tell the difference).

you might have opal and white or pointed.

well it doesn't matter anymore because this doe is one of the bad mothers. she didn't care for her babies at all and they all past.
thanks for the info though.
So when a chestnut agouti is bred most babies will look like him?

the agouti colour is often dominant. It's hard to make generalizations though since there's always something that ends up making it different.

My personal experience... agouti based colours are often predominant if one parent is agouti.
