So, for all who don't know, my brother is mentally retarted and also terminally ill.

I am constantly in the battle feild for people with physical and mental disabilities, as you would be surprised the horror. (Check out Westbrooke on youtube if you dare.)

Arizona didn't give full rights to physically disbabled people until 1995, five years after the bill was passed in most other states. Article 9 of the bill, giving rights to mentally retarted people wasn't passed for a year later. 1995 may seem long ago, but think, only 15 years ago people with disabilies didn't have rights to a fullfilling life, or literally rights at all.

(I should add there was a large bill passed with Kennedy but it really didn't change anything and the rights only went so far)

I also follow closely people with mental disabilities that are not considered retardation, but like biopolar, mania, depression, ect

And Rosalynn Carter (Former first lady) was on the Daily Show and has a new book out called Within Our Reach about mental illness, and it looks great.

I can't wait to order it (It is on sale now, but I can't afford it :()

Just thought I would let you know!

You can get it for as little as $12 plus shipping on Amazon and there are some on Ebay in the same price range. You can also check out your library.

Sounds like a good book!

I neevverr buy books of dvd's straight from the shop. I always go online and get them 'new' or 'used' from Amazon or Play, but just sold by other people, so they are like half the price. And in 'new' condition, some even with the plastic wrap still on :D, and 'used' are often just watched/read once or twice.

It's really nice to hear that people like you are fighting for those who can't fight for themselves :)
