I'm confused by some new behavior.
Meadow has recently started going for regular tooth trimming because we discovered she has molar spurs.  Since going to our vet on a regular basis she has developed some behaviors that I cannot explain. Meadow is a 7 year old spayed holland lop female weighing under 5 lbs. She use to have wonderful litter habbits.  Always doing her business in her litter box.  Now I find her peeing in front of her litter box and pooping just about everywhere. She is a spoiled girl having the luxury of an entire room in our home and she has not been a caged bunny for many years.  The other behavior I cannot explain is that she has taken to humping arms. When she was 1 she did this for a short while before she was spayed. After her spay she never did it again.  Now she wants to do it all the time.  These behaviors only became apparent after we started regular tooth trimmings.  I would be great full if you could give me some insights. Thanks

Awww so sorry she is doing this. How frustrating! Especially because she has been potty trained and free run for so long....?

I'm no vet but could you have her checked out for any type of urinary infection or issue down there? Do all her other actions seem normal...? ie eating okay, poop look fine etc?

I would start there to make sure nothing is wrong with her health wise in those areas before you try anything else.

Good luck!

I called her vets office and booked an appt.
I am currently waiting for her vet to give me a call so I can talk to her about all this.

Nothing really has changed with her pee and poop everything looks normal it's just getting her to do it in the right spot that seems to be the problem.

So we went to the vets and had a blood test done...
Meadows calcium is high so we need to do further testing to find out what is going on. We are hoping this is not a huge problem and that slug wont be an issue but wont know until more tests are done.
As for the humping I am being told that maybe during her original spay some of her parts were not fully removed and may need surgery again to correct this.
I don't want to put her through surgery but I will not let her get cancer!
