Well we had new mini rex babies yesterday all are caster mom is caster dad is opal.

Now the 3 week olds mom is broken black and dad is opal. There is 2 broken opal, 1 broken caster and one blue. 2 broken have way too much color but are so cute.

Cute. I would't breed the same Broken black to opal again They're just gonna give you more booted.

Yea I am trying to get a nice solid black of her.

Best bet is to breed black x black. I'm assuming you don't have a solid black buck. Or you can breed to a blue, but you breed blue to black to improve the blue. Either way you should get a nice solid black. You can breed to a broken but your chances of a solid will be cut in half

Yea all I have right now is the 3 opal buck caster and broken black does. Getting a opal is not common here and I did not know that untill I started looking for a opal doe. There is a realy nice solid buck that I am going to use. So this fall I am going to breed her to him.

I love the broken caster too bad it has too much color it has the cutest face. This is my first mini rex litters it is nice not having to worry about them as much. The does are both such good moms. Very easy to breed now the english lops have been giving me some hard time but I have one nice cream due in about 24 days or so. I also let my Angora breeder use the buck she sold me and one of the does had her babies 3 days ago. I get pick of that litter.
