Hello, everyone! I'm behind in my introduction because I joined in desperation a couple of weeks ago when our best bunny Holly became very sick. We lost her, unfortunately, but I found so much support on this forum! You guys are the best!:bunnyheart

Anyway, I really wrote on behalf of my daughter who raises N. Dwarfs and Hollands here in S. Jersey. After we lost Holly we had 12 rabbits, but as of this morning, I am happy to announce, we are up to 16! We have a new litter of kits (Holly's siblings) that all seem to be black otters! I will have sooo much trouble telling them apart! Katie will know right away who's who, and she'll shame me for not being more observant! :sigh:

Katie shows her rabbits in 4-H, and she was just about to try an ARBA show with Holly, because she had done so well. That was a big disappointment, but now we have little ones to spoil thoroughly. Joy comes in the morning!

Hiya its great that you found us useful, its a shame it wasn't a happier outcome.

Hope to have lots of chats with you on here:D

Welcome!

I read about Holly in your thread - I am so sorry, Binky free little one. :( :rainbow:

Congrats on the new kits! Aww..I love NDs! :biggrin2:

Hope you enjoy posting here, and finding it friendly and informative. :)

Welcome to the RO forum from the bakers dozen herd!:biggrin2: This is a great site, with a lot of experienced people with good advice.

I look forward to seeing pictures of your bunnies. I would encourage you to try another ARBA show. Different judges see different things, at one show my Holland Lop buck won best of breed and at the next show different judge he came in somewhere in the middle. I enjoy showing and seeing all the different breeds.

We have enjoyed showing our rabbits very much, and yes, judges certainly do vary. We will definitely try an ARBA show again, hopefully with one or more of these new kits. I am always amazed at the variety in rabbits and thoroughly enjoy learning about all the different breeds. There are still some we've never seen -maybe they are less popular here in the US, or maybe it's just in 4-H that they don't show up. I'm sure ARBA runs the gamut. But anyway, we love our bunnies, and yes, everyone here has been very friendly and helpful.

:)
