Netherland Dwarf color question

Can you breed BEW N.dwarfs to any other color or just VM or BEWs? What about chocolates...what can they be bred to?...in general. Are there any good reads on the nethies that I can study this breed from?

You can breed to anything that isn't rew or have the ruby glow. It's a good way to improve the bew

Ok, so here is what Im getting for my start...a BEW doe,VM buck, a broken chocolate buck and a chocolate otter doe....so from what I understand, and please correct me if Im wrong, I can only breed the pairs together...not interchangeably right, due to their colors?

Correct.The VM and the BEW bred with either of the other two will give the babies werid white markings and give them blue eyes. So they won't be showable at all. Plus their offspring can carry the VM gene and their offspring's offspringwill be unshowable too unless they come out just BEW. lol
