Nest Boxes

Dear All,

I need some Info. on Nest Boxes. I am new at the forum, but Ithink you all can help. I used to raise rabbits when I wasyoung and show them in FFA, but that has been a long timeago. I am getting ready to buy a couple of Does and a Buck,and raise them again as a Hobby. I know how to build a Hutch,but if I remember right, my nest boxes were in the dark for the Doe andI raised the roof to check on the Kits. Everything I read nowis a box like a Shoe box with hay in it for the Doe just set in theHutch when she gets ready to have her little ones. Is thisthe right kind that I need, and does anyone have the plans forthem. Size and Etc.

I would use a wooden nest box, you can usually get them at your local feet and supply store.

I accually use a metal nest box with a woddenbottom that is removable. For some reason my rabbits areattracted to it, and it is easy to clean, and good if you are using itfor different does. What breed/s are you getting.The sizing of nest boxes usually goes buy the size of the animal.
