Nest after birth??

My rabbit had her 1st litter of babies and she is 9 months old. But her babies died and there was no nest or anything. (We didn't know she has them so idk how old they were but they weren't tiny) And I've had rabbits before and I know that not all rabbits are good with their 1st litter. Anyhow i checked on her before work and she now has a giant nest. But don't understand why? I'm not sure if she is pregnant again and is already making a nest for her new litter or what?

It's not unusual for first time mom's to lose their first litter. Not making a nest, making one after kindling, making one but having the kits somewhere else, are all things they'll do. It's unusual, but possible, for a doe to be pregnant with two litters, but it's likely she won't have any more. I'd leave the nest for a few days and then take it out.
