Ok this is getting crazy I put Storm back on Zupreem and he does great I mean great.

Jessi she takes to anything.

But then a week ago I put them on Purina green bag. I know this sounds harsh but I need to save money to get into school and I was dropping boot loads of money a month on pets.

So it turn now on Purina green bag Storm is dropping weight again he has great mass on Zupreem but as soon as I change he losses it all.

Help me what do I do just suck it up and buy Zupreem.

Between the two of them they get half a cup of food this is supposed to be 1/4 cup each. Storm is on a all Pellet and hay diet. Jessi gets Veggies a couple times a week.

I am going to watch Storm closly to see but I really need them to finish this bag of Purina. Could I mix the two together?

Like 1/4 cup Zupreem 1/4 purina?

you could try mixing them...or try the blue bag? for me its cheaper and more protein.

you could try adding something to it, calf mana or oats?

How big are each of the buns? I'd first of all suggest trying 1/2 cup per 5 lbs. body weight EACH for a week or two and see if there is any improvement. Purina green bag is lower in protein and fat, so they will need the standard serving size before you're really able to tell whether the problem is the food or not. For some foods, you have to feed more than others to get them all the nutrients they need.

Or, like someone else suggested, if you're only feeding 1/4 cup each, you'll want to go to a higher protein feed. The blue bag works well for me too.

Try the purple bag (I think its the show formula)? I know its high in protein and fiber. I decided to feed Jenson Fibre3 and he's doing really well...I felt like he didn't need the high protein in the purple bag.

Could could also mix the Purina and Zupreem....that will stretch it out!

Ok I am will down the line for the questions.

Storm is 2.9 pounds normal weight

Jessi who is fine on any feed so far. She is 3.9 at her spay 6 weeks ago.

What is the blue bag? If that is fibre 3 Storm lost enough weight that when I noticed I went into panic mode.

I may have to try the show Amy but we will see where the thread goes.

He is loosing weight enough for me to feel his back bone it has not got to that point yet but feeling him I can tell he is loosing mass. On the other purina I tried he had lost enough I could feel his ribs and back bone that was fibre 3.

I put him back on Zupreem and three weeks later he was back to normal. Not fat but I could feel mass. So its not even a pound more like a couple of ounces.

Here is my issue on Zupreem I can not feel him pin bones on purina 2 bags now two different brands Purina green bag and purina fibre 3. I can feel storms pin bones again already.

I am afraid for him to loose weight on Zupreem he only get 1/8 of a cup on these he has to eat 1/4.

I am sorry I am really confused. Every one tells me the timothy based is not required a cheaper feed is ok. But every time Storm looses mass. But I would like to be able to spoil them a little more with out spending there monthly allowance on food. Yes all my pets now have a monthly allowance.

I'm not sure whether these pellets are timmy or alfalfa based, but have you tried an alfalfa pellet? Since he's not able to handle veggies that would provide some extra protein and fat.

My apologies if any of the ones you've tried are actually alfalfa :)

As nice as it is to have extra money to buy new toys and stuff for the bunnies, sometimes its better to just spend the money on the food that works for them. My bunnies don't get a lot of new things very often anymore because I have been spending the extra money on veggies now that I am feeding them almost every night.

I wanted to update I might be over reacting with this one Storm is fine and so is Jessi I think I may have found my feed. Although I can feel Storm pin bones I have been told that could be genetics. So i am going to watch him closely. To make sure but I think we may be out of the woods hopefully.
