He has one spot on his nose right smack dab in the middle.

The spot to the left of his nose is the stratch

The spot under his right eye is the very first spot

The spot on his forehead is the newest spot

Between his nose and his forehead there are five little spots

These are before. Taken yesterday

Ok so i made a thread I think mabye it was in my blog about boss hurting his paw. Well we summed that up to a VAC reaction. Anyway he got the stratch which I think is completly unrelated. Then he started getting these bumps one or two at first now its like 5. So I asked about it in my cat forum. When ringworm came up I thought well let me shave him so I can see it better as soon as that first chunk of hair came off I was like yeap possible.

Anyway so there are pictures of his face and a back story. What do yall think anyone and advice would be much appreciated

How big are the "rings"? Ringworm is normally bigger than those little dots I'm seeing in the pictures. Plus, animals tend to lose their fur (at least it will thin) when ringworm is present. It the skin scaly/flaky? I had ringworm when I worked at the pet store (caught it from a rat), so make sure that you wash your hands and don't let the kitty touch you or get into your things (like your bed). The ringworm fungus is contagious, so if you suspect it, don't be in close-contact with the kitty. I would go to the vet if you can. To me, it doesn't *quite* look like ringworm, but I could be wrong.

He also has a small spot on his leg also.

The biggest spot is about half the size of my pinky nail.It seems small but for his face its pretty big

The cases of ringworm that I have seen were bigger than that. The smallest one I've seen was about the size of a dime. Personally, I don't think it sounds like ringworm.

Yea I am leaning away fromit also i think it has something to do with the vac he got he has had one problem after another sense then.

No one sle has sign including other kitten. They have all slept in the same bed use the same food bowl. Its time he goes to the vet going to ask hubby to call in tomorrow. so he can take him.

Yeah... You would notice ringworm on you, too. I caught it from a rat at work (that liked riding on my shoulder when I walked through the store). It popped up on my face about a week or two later. It was itchy, scaly, annoying, and looked like a stinking hickey on my face. They are pretty big, normally.

Did that kitten get into anything that the other one didn't? Like out in the garden and could have gotten by some bugs that may have bit him or anything? (It's a him, right?)

ringworm can start out as a tiny dot. When I got it one time as a child, it was from the cat and she accidentally stuck me with a claw in my throat area. It was a small itchy spot for a few days before it spread out.

None of them go outside I had a indoor outdoor cat get hit by a car one day a drunk guy but still he got hit.

Funny enough his name was boss also. My neices named him so boss stuck.

No one is left unattended they have kennels.

The earliest I could get him in was tomorrow. at 9 a.m. The excotic vet that took care of storms neuter will take care of boss also weird. But they said he sees all kinds of pets.

I will update tomorrow when we get home to tell yall wht it is

Pick up a tube of Lamisil and apply it twice a day for 10 days, see if it clears.

If it does, it's ringworm. ;)

I am not taking any chances. We are going tomorrow. The other three kitten are suposed to leave Friday. I won't send them away if they might have ring worm.

I will update for sure.

Lamisil is good - We've gotten the spray bottle before. My son has sheep and they get ringworm easily as well as passing it to the son sometimes. Luckily it's not been too bad in the past couple of years.

Anyhow, I'd make sure lamisil isn't harmful before putting it on an animal that grooms themselves.

Well the rest of the kitten are limping like boss was the other day.

I think there may be something more to this then I am thinking boss is going in today. We will find out for sure.sunshine and simba have started sitting on there back paws like boss was doing when this all started.

At first boss was limping on one foot about a week after his vac.

Then he would sit on his but the next day like he could not use either paw no swelling or anything made appointment the next day he was fine. Canceled apointment he was fine thought it was a fluke.

then that would have been friday saturday the first bump showed up I think the stratch showed up to but I still say that was unrelated.

Then he added a new bump everyday sense I even found a fresh one this morning.

Well yesterday sunshine was limping did not think anything of it no swelling her and the other two are upstairs seperated from boss. Thought they played to ruff well last night she was sitting on her but today she is find. Just like boss was next day back to normal.

Now simba is following in the same foot steps.

I am scared to find out what this is. I dont want to have to put them all down I could not handle that.

Hrmm, interesting. Ringworm is easy to cure. :) In my experience with it, I've only seen the "rings", never the small dots like that. I guess you learn something new every day!

Well the doc had comfermed ringworm but did the test anyway and got the test back today and found out its not ring worm.

It getting better what ever it is. So he said continue the same treat ment for four more day then bring him back if it seem to be getting worse.

when i was a young-un,,long before the millenium,-my ma said i got ring worm from the cat ,so my guess is it is contaigious,.sincerely james waller
