Hi, when you compare this to other things, this is minor. I realize that, but I would like to have things going well for a change. I don't own a fancy house, live an extravagant life style, drive fancy cars (newest car I have is a1995 Mercury Cougar).

My wife is unemployed at the moment, lost her job January 4th. Happy New Year! NOT. To prevent foreclosure on our house, she needs to be working again real soon.

My son, has had pneumonia, which has caused his asthma to become a problem, a persistent cough and he has missed a lot of school.

Prayers and good thoughts for you and your family. I truly pray for a turn-around for you. Hope your son is better soon.

Gov. Strickland announced today he ia preparing for a recession by considering some state institutions or laying off relatively large numbers in state departments. Some of our departments are already operating on thin air ...

Let's expect better news in the immediate future.

Oh man! This is becoming so scarey anymore with foreclosures!

I'll be thinking about you and praying for her to get back to work!

Ahhhh Dave i am so sorry i knew about your wife but not your son:(

Sending big :hug:and positive vibes your way for it to work out for you and soon

Here's an update, the mortgage company and I have come to an arrangement. So I can continue to take care of their house!

My wife just started a temp job today. She is still hoping to hear back on a interview from last week, but this will definitely help for now. Hopefully, something permanent will turn up soon. She doesn't mind the temp work, but it is what it is a temporary position. I know she would like a permanent place to go to every day.

Thank you for everyone's prayers and the good vibes sent my way. RO people are the best.:)

Me and all the buns are definately sending good vibes and prayers your way - I hope things work themselves out and get better soon, and I hope your son recovers. We are thinking of you and pulling for you!

I'm hoping that all get better fast for you. Thats horrible, Right after the holidays and they lay her off. Not very nice of them :grumpy:

Hope your son gets better.

Sending prayers and all ...

I'm sorry to hear you're having a rough time at the moment, it seemsa lot of people (here and offline) are right now. And just because other people have stuff going on, it doesn't make what you're going through any less stressful!

I've got my fingers crossed that your son gets better and your wife finds some permenant work soon... The rabbits are all hopping and hoping for you too!

Great to have a good news update! Our governor announced dire financial woes last week and we are expecting 2,700 lay offs for state agencies plus 2 facility closings. I am retirement eligible this month and am signed up to go. I hope my leaving allows room for others to stay. We have so many retirement eligible people who keep hanging on expecting incentive plans. I find it sad. They need to take their money and leave so younger folks with fewer years can have a chance. Believe me, none of these people will be hurting with a 30 to 35 year retirement income....

My best and continued prayers to you.

Glad to hear there is a small bright spot! Even a temp job pays a salary.... and maybe she'll hear soon about a more permenant position.

Sincerely hope your son is better. Both my girls suffer from asthma and I do mean "suffer"... nasty affliction! And that cough can last MONTHS!

In our area, thenumber of people in distress and losing houses is ridiculous... down right scary... and so sad.

Will keep hoping that this is the start of a better "new" year...
