Just found one kit from my other doe who was expecting today. But she had it out of the box. It is soo cold. Still moving. I have it in the house now. How do u warm up cold kits?? Thanks!! I will foster to sissy. She had hers last night. Will that be okay??

I recently had found some VERY cold kits and warmed them up by placing them on a heating pad, then warming up small towels in the microwave (warm, but not super hot) and wrapping the babies in them. I would also gently roll the baby back and forth to hopefully get some circulation going. It can sometimes take quite a long time but I've been successful doing it that way.

Make sure you warm it up very slowly on a low temp. You can even just set it against your skin to rewarm it.

Also don't overwarm it!! We have cooked kits before on accident from warming them for too long. Once they are wriggling around put them In a nest

Got him warmed, fed and in the nest! I have a feeling cinnamon isn't done yet. I felt her tummy and feels like their may be more. I will be keeping a close eye on her tonight. I didn't think she had been pregnant!! I didn't think that the buck fell off! Eek. Will see what happens.

I ended up putting the little on in my cleavage. I suddenly remember reading tht on here. Someone I does that from here. I also held sissy ( the first momma) and let the little one eat. Sissy did soo wonderfully with it. She say soo nice for me. Love that girl.

Guess we will watch and see now. I also learnt the importance of breeding more than one doe and the same time.
