Hello,
I'm Bex's friend Kirsty

I have 2 rabbits - a boy and a girl they are the same breed but have been seperated for ages.

Me and my family want to breed them, though when we put them together in the run yesterday but the girl (Amanda) was biting Billy :(, and then they were sort of making a grunting noise :grumpy:
I held Billy into my arms and then his body kept jumping..

Help please, Thanks in advance.

Try putting the female in the males cage overnight to get her used to his scent. When you go to breed her check her vulva to get an idea if she is ready to be bred. It should be purplish pink, if its pale pink she may not be in the mood--give it time.

This is assuming they are healthy and at the correct ages to be bred of course.

OK Thanks, And don't worry my parents have bred before so they know what their doing though this grunting and biting has never happened to them before.

Thanks
Kirsty

Er, am I the only person who thinks this is really Becca asking about mating Dippy and Fluffball? Sorry Becca if I am wrong, but this seems weird after just reading your other thread :?.

i agree(that she's had friends on here before, that is). she had another friend register a few months ago who was gonna get one of Dippy and Fluffball's babies back when we all thought she might be preggers. it is a bit coincadental(sp?), but i say we give Becca the benefit of the doubt;)

What other thread?

ETA: I found the post you were talking about.

I have just joined becuase Bex is getting a bit upset that you think that she made me up or whateva.

i don't think anyone was trying to jump all over you Becca, but if it was another member who'd posted multiple times about breeding her rabbits, etc.....you get what i'm trying to say. try and see where every body else is coming from, see if you might not have thought the same thing they did;).

K? are we all cool?

Thanks Kirst. I hope we were able to answer your questions.

Are you using Becca's computer to log in (since you had used her account)? Just curious...

Yeah we met in Maths and when |I heard she had bunnies I was like yay lets be friends hehe!

Then she came round and went on my account to leave a couple of messages then when she got back obviously she made her own account which is cool :biggrin2:

Of course nobody wants to come across mean but the fact that Becca and her friend (whether she exists or not) started a thread asking all about breeding two rabbits of the same breed that have been kept seperate all along (ring a bell?).... and than a few ours later Becca posts that she "haz a problem" sorry it is just a bit obvious.
On the other hand if I where a young girl and really really wanted to breed my rabbits against all the well meaning advice of more experienced people, that's exactly what I would have done. Let's just hope that her family supports her and everything goes well if there's going to be babies. Forget about Kirsty and keep us updated on the rabbits

Sabine, you took the words out of my mouth, seriously Becca we aren't going to think any less of you for breeding, their you rabbits and your decision.

we went 2 a breeder 2dayy to see if they cud tell us what breed Billy and Amanda is and aprently they are like cali crosses or sumthin  i have no idea.

mum sed we shud wait a while until breeding so they can be spring babies. cant wait.

Kirsty
