Hi, here's the story in brief form, some of you may know I was laid off from my job last October.

WellI decided to go back and take some computer courses (Lotsof fun). One of the courses' I'm taking is Power Point, so Ihave to do a presentation, so of course I have choosen to doit on Bunnies, The Joys of Being A Bunny Parent. I also want to put inalot of facts so now I have to dig them up.

One question I was pondering was if people bring their Bunnies to OldAge Homes/Nursing Homes for the elderly to see. I know peoplebring dogs & cats to see them. Does anyoneknow? I would also need a picture of this to put in thepresentation.

Now if anyone can help me out here in letting me know some real good websites to go to I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks, I hope all of this makes sense, if not just let me know.

It was unofficial, but Pipp was very therapeutic visiting family andother seniors at the veterans care home. She'd make a verygood therapy bunny.

That is such a good idea. I bet the recipients will just soak up the love of a friendly bunny...Tatum

I've been reading through the links postedabove, and there are some awesome stories in there. (Did youread the one about Augustine the lop and his little boyWillie?) I personally think the right bunnyisbetter therapy than dogs and cats. Nobody'safraid of them, and talk about warm and fuzzy!

(Of course has to be the right bunny -- had that been my little rexDill in the pic, he would have taken a chunk out of his shoulder). ;)

My mum and I help out at a nursing home and onceI took Bunny in to see them. Everyone loved Bunny and now when we gothere they always ask me how Bunny is. :)

Yes I read that story, it was very touching,Augustine sounded like a real gem very gentle &loving. Three of my rascals you can't even pick up let alonekeep them still, on the other hand our Buttercup is a real little gem.

I agree...that is a fabulous idea for bunniesthat don't mind travel, and that don't mind handling andsuch. When Maisie gets older, I might just start doingthat! Bunnies sure bring a smile to people's faces...why notbring that smile to someone who probably doesn't get visited often, andis as lonely as some of the people in those homes are? I'msure most of them could REALLY use a smile.

I tell ya, if I had a relative in a nursing home (or some such), Iwould visit them EVERY Saturday. So may people put theirelderly loved ones in homes, and just forget about them...the poordears are so starved for love and conversation. Heck, olderpeople are anyway because others feel they can't relate, or some such.

Great idea!! :D
