Hey everybody! I'm very new I've hadmy rabbit for about a year now and I have this cage for her...it's theone that has the wired bottom...it's coated so it's not plainwire...but I"ve been putting a hand towel or some rags for her to layon and to keep her warm. BUT she keeps chewing holes inthem. It's very frustrating but I understand theylike to chew. And I do have chew toysinwith her. Sois there anything else icould put in there that they make for rabbits? Or anythingthatmay be a better alternative....Any suggestions would beappreciated!!

Thanks!

Hi! Is she outside orinside? If she's outside you can give her a nestbox stuffedwith hay for her to snuggle into to keep her warm, as well as blockingwind from her cage. If she's in the house you don't reallyneed to give her anything to keep her warm. Inside or out,you can get a product called EZ Mat that is meant to give bunnies onwire floors something more comfortable to sit on. You couldalso use a smooth wooden board or a straw placemat that has no dyes orstrings.

I'd stay away from towels with her because if she accidently swallowstoo much fabric she could get a blockage. I have a towel inwith one of my pairs, but it's a dish towel (the "flour sack" kind) andthey don't chew it at all.

Or you could always make/build a new cage!;)

Thank you, I'll have to look up that EZ Mat, because she's inside! Thanks!

We bought Maisie dragon grass mats. She loves to dig and chew on them. They're like a little snack!

We bought them at Pier One for only $5 (and that's here in CA, so it'sprobably cheaper elsewhere), so when she's done chewing them intooblivion, they're not expensive to replace. :D
