Nasty Male Lionhead - HELP!

My2 lionheads - brother and sister - are now 2 and a half years old. Wehad the male neuted as soon as possible and they have always been thebest of friends. However for the past 4 days, the male has been chasingthe female - who has done nothing wrong - and pulling patchs of her furout. I'm also worried he's stopping her from eating their pellets. I'mdesperate for help! He's always been so lovely, what's happened?Please help, i'm willing to tryanything!

You obviously need to separate them ASAP. Rabbits rights can be fatal. How old are they?

they are 2 and a half years. i dont understand though, they have always got on perfectly!

Well, shes always been more dominant than him,so she knows she can fight him off, but shes just avoiding him. Shesnot fighting back at all.I seperated them last night and they seem alittle better but hes still chasing her.

Perhaps, she isn't feeling too good and he senses this. I would seperate them, totally, and keep a close eye on her.

She could be sick like not feeling up tofighting. That is what happend to one of my guinea pigs. Prince andGizmo always were together for 2 yrs until Prince got Heat Strokereally bad. Gizmo just started to attack him. I had to separate hem andthey never got back together.

Have you re arranged their housesrecently? I'd seperate them for a bit and only have supervised playtime and see how they go, I wouldn't go putting them back togetheragain until you know they will be ok with each other.

Our boy Gizmo was neutered recently and he now plays with the girls butsupervised only, they all used to live happily together before butthere seems to be some issues now they are back together playing again,we willnot be putting them in the one house until the differences areworked out. Bunnies can get very nasty when fighting so keep an eye onthem.

Are they both healthy? have you checked them over (teeth incuded) itjust takes one bun to be a bit grumpy and it can flare up. Goodluck andkeep us posted.

edit to say you could try a water spray when things get nasty, I giveour buns a quick spritz when they are being naughty and they soon learnthat behaviour isn't good.

Suprisingly they seem better this morning! I'mtaking them to the vets this afternoon anyway though, i'll let you allknow what happens. Thank you all for your help.

Just got back from the vets and both rabbits areperfectly healthy! So no need for seperation! yay! She said it isprobably just her hormones and hes picking up on them - typical men notunderstanding women! Thank you once again for all your help! xxx

If you are going to put them back together, I would monitor them closely and not leave them alone unsupervised.
