Hello!
I have a sweet 1.5 year old Holland Lop named Oliver. He’s a housebunny with free reign of my bedroom and the living room.
I went out to run a quick errand and when I came back I was extremely shocked and upset. There was blood on the carpet and on the wall. (I attached a photo)
I have no idea where I came from. I examined him, but there’s no source of a bleed. There was a very small around of dried blood near his neck/upper chest, but not a wound. I just have not got a clue where all the blood came from! He seems perfectly fine, he’s hopping around, eating, drinking. Any thoughts? It’s late and my vet is closed, though I’ll try to see if she can see him tomorrow.
EDIT: sorry, I can’t figure out how to delete this. I looked Ollie over again and realised: he is missing a nail on his front paw. He must’ve torn it on something, and the blood on his chin is from cleaning it up. It’s not bleeding anymore.
Thanks!
Victoria
