Please help! My rabbit is usually a very healthy weight and about three weeks ago he started to drastically lose weight! He is so fluffy for winter that I didn't even notice. I noticed about a week ago that I could feel his spine ribs and hips, I can now see his ribs and hips through his winter fluff. He used to drink about one big bowl of water a day and eat one big thing of hay a day but now I have to refill both twice a day and every time I give him pellets he acts like he is starving. His behavior has not changed and his feces is normal. He is seven and a half years old and has a healthy lifestyle I am not sure what is going on and I really need help, anything is appreciated! Thank you!

You really need to get him in to be seen by an experienced rabbit vet. Sudden unexplained weight loss with increased thirst/appetite, can be symptoms of some pretty serious health problems. In the very least a fecal float test should be done to rule out intestinal parasites, but a blood test to check kidney function and possibly xrays may be needed as well. Just be prepared, as some of the possible causes aren't curable, though may be able to be managed with the appropriate medications.
