This is my dog Karly. She is a border collie/golden retriever mix and a rescue. She was abandoned on post and then taken into the vet clinic, then adopted out. The people who adopted her didn't want her anymore, and instead of taking her back to the vet clinic as their adoption contract states, listed her on Craigslist. I went to see her out of curiousity, and found myself in love. I contacted the vet and got everything sorted out good and proper, have her registered in my name now and her chip information switched over to my information. Karly was the BEST impulse decision I've ever made, ever. I wasn't even looking for a dog when I answered her ad. Normally that is very naughty, but I can't regret it even for a second. She's a WONDERFUL dog... She's obedient, quiet, great with kids, and an all around great dog! She's the perfect match for me. I adore her... She is named after the main character in the movie "Side Effects" a kind of docu-movie about the ins and outs of the pharmaceutical world. Kind of dorky, but I love the actress who played in it (Katherine Heigl) and so she got named Karly.
She looks goofy in this pic!

And my rats! They are all rescues except for five of them. Two were bought from a breeder in Kansas City, and three were from a rescue situation.
This is my big guy, Izzie. Yes, he has a girl's name. But Izzie is my favorite character on Grey's Anatomy, so! I did have a Denny, but he passed away in February. He is my squishiest, laziest boy. He loves to be petted and he is my heart. He's my oldest rat, and also one of my first rescues.

This is Seth Rogen, my handsome agouti boy! Seth Rogen is full of personality, and such a mama's boy! He's forever wanting to get out and be petted. He is a really special dude! Can you guess who he is named after?

This is my Davis. He is from a breeder and is one of my bigger boys. He's a really mellow sweetie who is always ready to cuddle! He got his name from a character in the movie "Love Comes Softly", who is played by Katherine Heigl. He got the character's last name instead of first.

My Cricket! He is a very big, handsome fellow from the same place as Davis. He's not as personable, but he loves his "brothers" and is one of the first to try new foods. Anyone who saw last night's epi of Grey's will know where he got his name from.

My fatty Laura! He was from a rescue litter I had, his mom is my Janie. He loves to give kisses and he is my climber, despite his pudge! He got his name from the movie "Caffiene", again another character played by Katherine Heigl.

Romy is Laura's brother. He is also a sweet licky boy, and very in your face! He has a lot of personality and is my scrapper. He'll take on anyone at any time! But look at that face... Too sweet. He got his name from the movie "Romy and Michele: In the Beginning". Again, a Katherine Heigl character.

My Charlie boy! He is the sweetest, most personable rat I have. His mom before me did a GREAT job with him. His mom is my Lissy, and she was a feeder breeder. Charlie was from her 5th KNOWN litter! Lissy was rescued when this litter was only a week old, so he was raised up right! He is going to be a HUGE boy when he gets older! Charlie got his name from the TV show "It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia". Surprise, NOT a Katherine Heigl role! Just my favorite character.

This special little guy is Denni. I had a rat named Denny who was my very heart, and I loved him very much. Charlie's mom Lissy had her sixth known litter on the day he died. One of those babies was Denni, who looks so very much like my Denny did. He is a sweetheart, and reminds me so much of his namesake. I adore this little guy!

My little girls' turn now!
This is my Harlow. She was a rescue my ex-bf brought home, and was originally his. Now she is mine.

Iris was also one of my ex-bf's rats. Iris is very mellow, unlike most girls, and is kind of shy. But she really is the sweetest little girl ever. She loves to cuddle with me! Iris got her name from one of the little girls in the movie "Knocked Up".

My Janie was a rescued mama, and she had 10 beautiful babies September of last year, two of which I kept, Romy and Laura. She is my OCD pretty, she licks everyone all the time. She also barbers herself! She's a goofy little thing. She got her name from the movie "27 Dresses".

This big girl is my Lissy! She came to me after her VERY LAST litter ever was born. She was a feeder breeder before she was rescued, and had at LEAST 6 litters of babies! Two of her sons live with me, Charlie and Denni. She is the most grateful rat ever. You never would have thought she'd lived such a hard life as she has. She is a sweetheart andis a cuddle-bug. Lissy was just named Lissy!

Last but not least is my girl, Isobel. (I think you can guess where that name is from by now!) I literally rescued her from a snake tank. A boy kept a few large snakes in his basement without his parents knowledge, and I got a call to come get some mice from there. And low and behold, there was my darling Isobel, cowering in the corner of a Ball python's nasty filthy tank. I got her out of there and she's never stopped repaying me since. She is such an endearing little girl, always the first to the door and the last to want to be put back. I can't even imagine not having her in the group!

If you got through all that, kudos! Haha!
