Recently i got a new female baby bunny. I moved her outside 2 weeks ago and since then my other 3 female bunnies have been humping each other and biting each other, they act really nasty to each other and rip each others fur out, but then the next minute they are all snuggled together. When i take lexi (new bunny) inside for a few days they don't fight. They have never been introduced to my new bunny, but they can obviously smell her and can see her when she is in her run. They have never fought before, they are all related - mother and daughters.

Does anyone know why they fight when my new bunny is around? Is it jealousy? Will they eventually stop fighting when Lexi is around and just get used to her being there?

Thanks in advance.. :)

Bumping this up so you get an answer. Sounds hormonal or territorial to me, but I am no bunny expert. Wishing you the best.

My guess, & it would only be a guess, is that they feel they need to establish a hierarchy so they will know who has to deal with Lexi when the time comes that they meet.
