At our shelter we got 13 russian dwarf hamsters, including a mom who was giving birth as she came in. Well the babies are not 4 weeks old and I decided to foster the "males". I'm pretty sure the there were a mom and dad and the rest were all babies.
It's hard to tell but I'm pretty sure one is a male, but the other I still can't tell. I decided to give them my own names because the ones the shelter gave them were like Doc and something else.
I named them Bailey and Sammy. Figured since I don't know if they are males are females, those names can go both ways.
I haven't taken pictures with my camera yet but I got one with my cell.
This one is Bailey. I beleive he is a spotted blue. I'm pretty sure he's a boy.
The other, Sammy is a solid Blue color. Pictures later.
The sad thing is that they are nice now, but mom and dad are not and it's probably due to diabetes, which means the babies are probably going to get diabetes too.
