Well I've fairly new here and I've been searching and looking through everyones posts and since I've been taking tons and tons of pictures of my baby I figured I'd share!

This is Lola. She's about 4 months old and I picked her up from a local pet shop. I had had a little bun about 10 years ago when I was 12 and I had been itching to get another one. So for my birthday this year I told my husband that he was going to get me a little baby bun! And he did! We went to the pet shop and she was all alone in huge aquarium like enclosure and one look at her blue eyes were all I needed. So I went and purchased all the necessities and the next day I picked her up! Both my husband and I handle her a lot so she's really used to being held and cuddled. She loves being pet on her head! She'll demand it quite often actually.

Today we bought her a harness and the first one we got was way too big and she absolutely hated it. Then we took her with us back to the pet store and found a little kitten harness that works just perfectly and she actually likes it! We also clipped her nails for the first time which I was very nervous about but she layed in Daddy's arms like she was getting a pedicure! She was even falling asleep.

Well, here's some pictures and I'll try to keep this updated. =)

Hmmmm this pedicure is nice and relaxing! =) ... (right after all her nails were nicely clipped)

Thanks so much for sharing pics of your Lola. What a pretty girl she is. Love the blue eyes, but really love the different color ears.

Sounds like she is settling in nicely. Glad to see she has a harness that she likes. Getting bunnies outside in the fresh air and sun is really healthy for them.

And congratulations on your first bunny pedicure. I was just as nervous as well. But after you get over the first time, it does get easier. And having that extra comforting hands does help too.

Love to hear more stories of your Lola. Bunnies are just awesome companions.

OMG what a BEAUTIFUL Bunny.

I love her colouring, she reminds me a bit of my Winston.

Wouldn't they make a gorgeous couple, just don't tell Vega. Hee Hee

Looking forward to reading more about Lola.

Thank you guys for the comments! Lola greatly appreciates them =)

As for going outside, I live in an apartment complex where there are other dogs and cats that get walked through the grass. What kind of precautions (if any) do you make when you take your buns outside? We also have a dog but she's on flea and tick prevention so I know she's good.

And as for Winston... yes, they would make such a cute couple! He's absolutely adorable, I love the differences in the markings, it makes them so interesting! That's what drew me to Lola (and her blue eyes) in the first place! =)

UPDATE: Lola's spay was originally scheduled for June 7th however our vet is expecting a baby anytime now so she wanted to push it up to make sure she'd be able to do her spay since she's the only one in the office that can do it. My husband and I (not to mention Lola) absolutely love her as well. She's so nice and makes sure all of our questions and concerns are addressed so I definitely would not think of going to another vet. Anyway, her spay is being moved to May 31st which is just around the corner! I wasn't ready for it so soon! Any tips or advice from anyone whose been through it? Lola's been giving my husband some attitude lately when he tries to play with her so we're hoping that this spay will help that a little.
