I thought I would introduce my flock to you all.

These are my bare eyed cockatoos, they are around twenty and their favorite things to do are to dance and play peekaboo!

Then finally I have two conures, Boomer is a sun conure who I rescued from someone who was abusing him so he isn't the nicest fella but I love him dearly. Sage is a four month old gold capped conure baby who is just the sweestest little guy in the world! He made the last addition to my flock because now everybirdy has a buddy!!

Your birds are BEAUTIFUL!!!

I had a Nanday Conure for a few years. :) He was given to me by a great friend in college because he hated her boyfriend (now husband). Unfortunately, he hated my husband, too...but LOVED my brother-in-law (he hated his wife). Seeing a pattern here? LOL Anyway, I gave him to my brother-in-law for a wedding present. I still miss Sinbad sometimes.

You must have a very bright, cheerful, and loud home. :)

I just realized those pictures are HUGE! Sorry about that, I'll try to make them smaller.

Oh and about the loud thing, it's really nothing like you would think. They do make quite a bit of noise at certain times of day and when people come into the house that they don't know but in general, my house is still surprisingly quiet! I'm not sure Matt would agree though, lol.

Do you have any cuddlers? Sinbad would snuggle right next to my ear and whisper (if you whispered the word "whisper" to him he would say "whisper, whisper, whisper" back) or say "hey baby" and grind his beak. He was such a sweetie.

Kind of, Sydney and Sky, the Too's would rather sit and cuddle with me then just about anything else. They are very hormonal right now though and I can't handle them much because they constantly, well try to mate with me. In a few months they should back to normal (well as normal as possible for a cockatoo!)and then they are great cuddle buddies.

I'm fighting Sage off my fingers right now as I type this, lol. He's my only baby and I have a feeling he's going to be a great cuddler!

Peppers was my favorite cuddle buddy. He will sit on my shoulder for hours. . . but he has Hans now and they are happy to sit and preen eachother. They are incredibly happy to have eachother though so I think it's great.

I love the cockatoos! There was a Moluccan Cockatoo at the pet store here and I was REALLY tempted to get him... Now there is a little Goffin who is an attention wh*re. You put your hand anywhere NEAR the cage and his head is smashed up to the bars. I want him... I've heard that cockatoos are very clingy to their owners. Are your velcro-birds?

When it comes to parrots, Toos are without a doubt the most high maintenance of them all. Not only are my pair both velcro birds, they have no clue that they are birds so they are constantly trying to mate with one of us. The M2's are gorgeous but they are also just about as loud as a commercial airliner jet on windup (they've done studies to prove it). G2s are much smaller then the moluccans but they are also very very very high energy birds. If you go to youtube, search for stlbirdgirl. I've got some videos of my guys on there. The goffins are very simaler to the bare eyes.

How big are the Bare-Eyed Cockatoos? You can compare them in size to other birds. I'll figure it out! ;) How "dusty" are your guys? I know Cockatiels are fairly dusty, and the Moluccan that we were playing with/looking at left nice white, dusty markings all over my boyfriend's dark shirt! :) I bet your home is so noisy!

The bare eyes are smaller then Umbrellas but bigger then goffins. They are really close to the same size as my red lored amazon.

They are really dusty birds, that's for sure! I know exactly the white marks you are talking about! I try to remember to not wear black around my guys. The toys in their cage and their perches all get coated in the white dust too. An air purifier helps cut that down some.

This is by no means constant but here's an idea of how loud they can be. . . . it's louder in person of course!!
