My first eggs!

I have two Rhode Island Red hens names Sparkles and Yolko. They are 5 months old now, and today I found the first eggs! One was splattered on a rung of a perch...she must have layed it from one above it lol. The other was perfect in a little pile of hay. It is small, about 2/3 the size of a grocery store egg. The shell is a nice soft brown color. I scrambled it, and it was probably the BEST egg I've ever had. It tasted so fresh and delicious and it didn't have that old eggy smell or taste to it. I am defenitly looking forward to more!

Congratulations! I remember finding my first eggs, it was so exciting. Are these your first chickens?

I remember how excited we were when we got our first eggs. We used to fight over who got to go collect them, now we fight over who has to do it. Congrats!

Yes they are my first ones ever! I'm so excited; my chickens are my babies!
