My daughters boy friend was in a four wheeler accident yesterday and broke his clavicle... apparently it was bad enough that the doctor told him it was broke before they even x rayed it. He was told he will need surgery to fix it...This is his second accident on this four wheeler(its the racing kind) so now he decided to sell it

Aww, I hope his surgery all goes well andthe he heels fast. 4-wheelers can be quite dangerous things, one fell on my dad and shattered both his knee caps.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery! Will (my boyfriend) broke his collar bone, and he said that you can tell right away. Since it's the kind of bone that sticks out anyway, you can REALLY see it when it is fractured!

My friend broke her collar bone last year (well, fall of 08). She was in a car accident.

They definitely have to surgery the ends of the bones are way seperated and kind of over lapping each other... he went to the specialist today... my daughter went to see him and I will know more one she gets home... the bad thing is he got this job at a refinery that he was suposed to start yesterday... and he can't work now... he showed my daughter where the accident happened at and she says you can see an indention in the ground where his shoulder hit... he knew he was going to wreck so he tried to jump off of the 4 wheeler but it ended up landing on him anyway... he already put it up for sale because he wrecked it twice and got hurt bad both times and hes afraid nexttime it might kill him... so we are relieved that he decided to sell it....
