My wife just left to take my daughter to the Emergency Room at the hospital.

She's having asthma problems and none of her meds have helped.

:tears2:***very worried***

It seems to have been a rough start to the fall for anyone with breathing issues around here. My daughter who barely ever needs the neb...has been using it since this bad cough came our way. Hit fast and it ended pretty quick. Was the same for me. None of my maintence meds seemed to have made a difference...muddled through it though. I am sure you daughter will be ok. I find it is more frightening than anything else. For those of us that have to watch our children go through and even for those of us who deal with it. I always get afraid to go to sleep. lol...a 31 year old woman who has had asthma since I was 11 years old and still I get afraid to sleep when I get an upper respitory cold that gets at my asthma..I have been in the hospitals many times for it, admitted a couple for a week here and there...but always end up ok. It was a big reason I quit smoking...fear is a powerful thing.
I am sure the doctors will be able to help her. An IV of predisone is quite common, or a shot of epiefrin (which I know I spelled wrong lol) and usually will bring things about...I will keep you and your family..and your daughter in my thoughts tonight..that she may be kept safe in good hands....please let us know how things go...

Thanks everyone!
And, "Thanks!!" to all the members in chat that kept me busy while I waited.

I just got a call from MrsD, and my daughter is doing much better.
She got 2 treatments with the neb and some prednisone.
They're just waiting for the Dr.
