So far estimates are up to just under $500, and I had to miss a night of work last night. Joy, joy.

That sux!I love the convenience of having mycar but sometimes...just sometimes!:sigh:

Notice how these things always happen at the darndest times too! Never on a day that you have NOTHING to do!! :tantrum:

I hate car repairs. I just had to spend over $200 on "routine" maintenance. My car is a 2004, but I drive so far to work every day that I have 93,000 miles on it. I've been very lucky so far, but am preparing myself for some repairs in my future.

I refuse to buy a car until the current one I have has died a long death.

My 1998 Ford Windstar has probably less than 6 mos to live.

I enjoy having no car payment but now it's getting to the point that it's not getting me where I want to go all the time.

I need either a crew cab truck or an SUV that will pull my horse trailer.

*sigh*

Well I'll be hurting for the next week at least - With the 10% managers discount I ended up paying $758, definantly something I wasn't expecting. :( I just got the car home and have about 4 hours to sleep before I have to get ready to go in to work. This just really was a blow I didn't need. Missing work stresses me out so I didn't sleep much today since I was worrying about how to get there tonite. That issue is resolved since I have the car but still...

I will be running this car to the ground. Its a good one but setbacks like this aggrivate me. I just have to remember to keep a positive attitude. :)

Well, hopefully it gave your finger a bit of a rest after Stitch got you!

I'm sorry about the car. I think that's one of the most annoying things inlife - car repairs!

Check engine light came back on on my way home. Im on my way BACK to the shop :(

I have a '96 Grand Am. I had to have the brakes worked on, the spark plug boot replaced and a few minor things fixed the other day. Labor alone was $423. :(

The main problem they let go at first were the valve gaskets. Both leak but it's a dual cam car, so the estimated time to replace them is right at 8 hours - pricy for labor costs...

Unfortunantly because they leak oil keeps getting into my spark plugs causing misfires. That was the problem today.

I just got back from the sop with my car. I have to work tonite so I need it and they wouldn't be able to do the job today. Tomorrow I'll drop it off in the morning and they should get it done. If it's not ready by Sunday night, they'll lend me their company car to take to work.

I'd much rather have mine done, though.
