My bunny's breed

Long story, but I recently found out that my Netherland is actually a Mini Rex with normal fur! Well, three quarters Mini Rex. Love the breed, so yay!. Just thought I should tell you.

How did you find that out? I didn't know that Mini Rex could have regular fur. LOL

Well, I actually ran in to the person I got him from and as we were talking she told me that he was a mini Rex, both the parents were, but he for some odd reason was the only one in his litter with normal fur.

Are you sure? Its pretty odd. Maybe the breeder got confused with different litters?

that sounds very fishy to me. the rex hair is recessive, so how would they get a dominate hair gene from two parents with recessive hair genes?
Something's not right with that, he had to have been out of a mix.

His mother was half mini rex half netherland. And ya, i found it strange too.

OHHH! If his mother is mixed then it makes perfect sense. She probably doesnt carry that gene.
