Welcome! We usually post this kind of question in the Rabbitry section, so I hope you don't mind I moved it there.

Hi, welcome to the forum! :)

For some reason only the top two photos are working for me and they're not very clear, but my guess would be a mini rex judging from his fur.

Do you have some better, clearer photos? It also helps to know the rabbits weight, and the region you are from.

Pam

I am sorry, i don't know how to attach the picture other than to post a link, the man who sold us the rabbit told us he was less than a year old (in september 2008) he currently weighs 6 pounds and i am from charlotte NC

Does his fur feel like short plush velvet or more like normal hair/fur?

I'm not much of an expert but he looks like a mini-rex or a mini-rex cross to me. The pictures aren't very clear. His colouring is typical for a mini-rex and his coat looks short enough in in one of the pics, although not so much in the other. He's a wee bit big, although that's not unusual. I've have more 6-lb mini-rexes than 3-lb ones.

I'd guess at a mini-rex cross, but I'd love to see clearer photos.

Really cute bunny!!

Mini-rexes usually have curly whiskers, too. Are his curly?

If he's six lbs, that's sort of between a rex and a mini-rex, but I'd lean to the mini-rex.

And yeah, one of those photos looks like he could have the mini-rex plush fur, he could be purebred. But the photos aren't very clear.

Mini-rexes are particularly on-the-go and curious.

Here's my current little guy, Mister:

Ah, much better. I'd say he's a mini-rex cross, his fur isn't plush and his whiskers aren't curly.

I'll leave it to the experts, but he could even have lop or just about anything else mixed in. Sometimes rabbits are just... rabbits!

Still cute as a button!

sas :)

He could be a mini rex cross. His fur looks a bit more plush than normal, but not like a rex. He could also be "American", ie a mutt mix.
