My best friend is driving me insane!!!

Well here we go... this is driving me crazy SHE IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!

My best friend Fay was Gary's girlfriend - Gary's best mate was Harry who I fancied. But he didn't like me so I gave up on trying to impress him and also because Harry is madly in love with Fay. Gary was mean to her with another gurl X) so Fay dumped him (woo) but then the whole 'Harry loves Fay' thing happened. And she has been totally milking the attention! SHe doens't like any of them but she has kept them hanging on. I am so totally jealous of Harry liking her and I'm not afraid to admit it and she knows how much I liked him and she talks about them both ALL THE TIME. She puts them in her MSN name and says I LOVE YOU HARRY in her MSN name when she doesn't she is just dragging him along :XShe is hurting him!!She is loving the attention she keeps going ' Oh look Harry and his friends are looking me eee' I'm just like oh cool.

Then today Harry says to her 'What would you say if I asked you out' and she said 'No sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry' and he said 'it doesn't matter - who would be stupid enough to go out with me. I'll leave you alone from now on' he was really upset and now shes got in her msn and on FB ' I'm sorry I made you feel this way, I'm sorry you don't want to talk to me, I'm sorry im pretty that makes you like me' I AM GOING TO EXPLODE - Now I'm the kind of person that says what I think and sometime soon I am going to just AAAARRRHH :X:X:X

So she is just wanting everyone to know whats going on and totally milking the attention its driving me insane!!!!! TOTALLY UP THE WALL!!

It sounds like your friend has some growing up to do. Real friends don't rub it in your face that the boy you like likes her instead. If I were you I would let her know that it hurts you when she throws it in your face that Harry liked her and not you. I'd also tell her how it made you feel when she treated Harry badly. Be honest with her and if she acts like it's no big deal then is she really someone you would want to stay friends with?

I know what you're feeling right now. I lost my best friend Libby when I was around your age and it broke my heart. I hope you two can work it out!

Maybe Fay is "milking" all this attention to her because maybe she feels like YOU always get the attention? I think you should talk to Fay about it, i can see how close you are I wouldn't want to ruin this relationship over a stupid guy.

Poor Harry. Tell her she's being mean and unfair to Harry and ask her how she'd feel if a boy she really liked pretended to like her and then was mean to her.

Anyways, Becca she's just being really immature and tell her it hurts you when she talks like that about Harry, and depending on what she says will prove if shes a good friend to have or not .

But at school I don't usually get mch attention - I'm quiet at school it annoys me when people say I'm quiet but at school I *try* and work thats why I'm quiet. Yeah I'm the big mouth of the group but I still don't get loads of attention.

People like that drive me insane too. Maybe you should tell her that she is being immature, and if she doesn't agree with what you say maybe she isn't a nice person to be around...

I had a best friend who was just like this. Needless to say, we are no longer friends. I really really do dislike her

It sounds like your friend is a very insecure person.

And she needs to learn that modesty is more attractive when you know a guy is into you, rather than arrogance.

If it's possible, I do actually feel quite sorry for your friend, because she will find the more she does this, the fewer guys will "fancy" her, and the fewer friends she'll have.

She'll realise it soon, I'm sure, once she's grown up a bit. For now just try and ignore her, or better yet, just try to move apart from her and eventually she'll realise that you don't really spend time with her any more.

Also, if she starts talking about herself, or which guys "love" her, make a point of just walking away and deliberately talking to someone else- not in a harsh way, but just until she catches on that whenever she starts inflating her head, you won't be there to listen
