I live in Chicago, but will be moving to London soon. I am unable to take my little buddy Robbie with me. I do not want to risk giving him to someone who just wants a pet for their kid. I want to make sure that he goes to someone who knows how to care for a rabbit, and is willing to put in the necessary time and work it takes to care for a rabbit. I am not sure what breed he is. I was just told by others on this site that he was mixed. He weighs about 5 lbs. He is about 7 months old. He has proven to be a really good pet. He gets along well with the cat, and loves to play. He is pretty hyper at times and needs good amount of space as he loves to run and jump. I have had him for about 7 months and he has never bitten me. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

What a sweet black bunny. Black furred buns are more challenging to adopt (from our experience) so I dearly hope you'll screen well. Something to keep in mind when you find a rescue that has space, and is more careful about adopting out to children who may lose interest in a rabbit. Glad you are keen on that, as many humans are unprepared for the total lifetime committment and financial responsibility that rabbits, cats, dogs involve. Hope your cat will likewise find a permanent home.
Please be sure the adults are onboard for caring for Robbie for the next 10-14 years.
Am glad you are firm on the type of home he'll transition to!

Did you get him from a local pet store?
What food do you provide for him? Hay and greens?

Also please be careful as to the number of pets a responsible rescue has, as that often indicates the type of care the rabbits receive, and if a rescue has funds to spay/neuter before adopting. A responsible rescue should spay/neuter as we routinely know the amount of rabbits that are terminated/euthanized each week for lack of homes.

- I dearly hope he'll have a large housing unit and lots of TLC and playtime in his new spot/placement/home.

Our two black bunnies here send Robbie some soft caresses. That face is adorable!

You're a good bunny human to want the best for him. I hope you'll enjoy London.

Ear Scritches to Robbie,

Nothing at the moment. Starting to get a little worried at this point. Thank You for all of the info in your first post.

Do you think your position or relocation to London will be permanent?

We visited there years ago, and I looked forward to returning to the states. That is no offense to Londoners who enjoy being a Londoner and UK resident.
Funny on where you were born can sometimes make you a home-life resident.

It's good you are thinking ahead and being aware of the home he'll need to find, for his future forever happiness. Should leads come in on where to place him, or ask if there's space for acceptance?, I'll PM.

He's unneutered, right?

Guess I fell in love with those furry toes right up close, and his sweet face looking at the camera. Someone took awesome pics of Robbie-kins.
