Mr. Tibbs was, finally, neuteredtoday. He was supposed to have been "done" on Monday but, they called me at 2:30, asking that I bring him back today (he wasthere since 8am)....lots of emergencies! Mr. Tibbs is doingwell...he's very quiet...he must hurt a little but, his appetite hasn'tdiminished! He'll be leaving here, next week, to live inNYC. We are going to miss this guy...he is sofunny!!

Carolyn...can you find me the "topic" on spay/neuter discounts...from Buck?

The Tibb's neuter was $130. I still have 3 more to neuter& at least 4 spays to be done. Vets around here want$215 & up for spaying...Gotta do something. Thanks

:foreheadsmack:My goodness thats expensive WOW !!!

Poor Mr Tibbs , helost his chicken nuggetspoor boy , LOL at least he willfeel better I just hopethe didnt neuter his personality in theprocess .

here is one I found so Far.

, contact Animal Birth Control, Inc., P.O.Box 353, Pine Beach, NJ 08741and speak to Maggie Trengrove, President, 732 269-8793 or one of herassociates, Ruth, at 732 240-2402 or Ginny, at 732 349-5898.

Thanks Gypsy!! That's exactly what I was looking for (thought I had saved it, somewhere).

Tibbs still has his "nuggets"......guess they'll shrink, withtime. I hope he doesn't lose his personality...just hisdesire to hump everything & anything that does or does notmove!!! He is such a love bug! Lovesbeing petted, loves sitting next to you. I'm going to misshim.

How is Wooly? Her cage was on the right side of thecomputer...I miss her starring at me, all the time. I havemoved Puff there....not the same, he doesn't want his head scratched,at all! She, at least, let me pet her! He's thenext one to be neutered. I hope the procedure will mellow himout, even if it's just a tad! Then, maybe, we'll be able tofind someone to love him, forever.

Passed my physical for my CDL Licence today...soon it's gonna be "watch out kids, here I come"!!!

Miss ya!

Congradulations on gettingyour CDL , you are a very bravewoman taking on all them Bunsnow all the heathens ummmmermmmmm childrens , good job .

Miss Wooley G is doingwell so well in fact I havemoved her into general population ,Silly girl sits like one of thosepainting s on the wall youwalk by her and only the eyesmove , its kinda creepy , ,

Oh must ask whats upwith the litter box ? is thather Safe Zone ? I go to pet herand she jumps in there hunkersdown with that you touch me Iwill pee on the floor look . ?Since bring her home here shewont allow me to pet her very often, once in a great while shewill let me brush past her infeeding or changing the waterbottle , but to out and out pether she dives for the litterbox ? Cassi on the other handwalks by and she isup and begging for pets and cuddles .( yes I am jelouse ). lol .

Whats really funny is I have her rightin front of Penelopeand Pene' is a wikkedscanner so here I go walking byto refresh water bottles and BOTH ofthem stuffed crittersfollow me with their eyes , (shivers ) , I stop dead spinaround and their both sittingthere looking at the ceiling whistlinginnocently.

LMAO..ROF!!!!! Jeez!!! Howcreepy, indeed!! I now only have Mitzie following me withthat eerie gaze. I was told that Maizie does it too but, Ihaven't seen her "scan" since she's been here.

Yes, Wooley does seem to use her litter box as a safe haven. It doesn't make any sense to me at all but, if it makes her happy...oh,well. She usually sat on her house, staring at me, &jumped into the litter box when I went to pet her. I am sojealous that Cassi is getting all that love & attention that Ihad hoped to recieve from her. There must have been a childin her life....if I had only known. The Pet Shop had no infoon her, Damn.

Poor Shmoo came from the same Shop...another unwanted "drop".

His poor little ankle is deformed & he was kept in awire-bottomed cage. He must have been in excruciating pain aswould attack anyone that put their hand into the cage. Theyremoved him with heavy leather gloves. All he needed was asoft floor....now, he's a doll.

Boy, I sure can ramble, cant I!!!! I'm gonna be horrible by the time I hit 70!! LOL

Will try, but if I don't have it, I have his rabbit binder at my house and I'll copy it down from there.

Glad all went well for our Mr. Tibbs. :)

Here's the one Buck liked and I believe usedthe most:

Local organization called Animal Birth Control, Inc. "brokers" most ourneutering procedures for about half the going rate. It usesthe services of our own veterinarian of choice, so it is a win/win forus. If and when you should elect to neuter, contact AnimalBirth Control, Inc., P.O.Box 353, Pine Beach, NJ 08741 andspeak to Maggie Trengrove, President, 732 269-8793 or one of herassociates, Ruth, at 732 240-2402 or Ginny, at 732 349-5898.

Another post by Buck regarding spaying:

* * * * * *

Can cost up to $300.00 here in NJ.

We obtain procedures through the auspices of a local civic organizationcalled Animal Birth Control, Inc. that 'brokers" more reasonably pricedneuterings for pet owners. Only caveats are that all moniesmust pass through their office and one must use the veterinarians theycontract to do the service. As their contracted veterinarianis our own vet of choice, it a a win/win for us. Our lastspay cost in the neighbor hood of $80.00 and ABC officials felt badlyabout that. Had we walked in to our own vet off the street, same procedure likely to cost the $300.00 indicated above.

Some other organizations, like local SPCA's, animal rescue centers, animal shelters, animal control departments, etc. can provide low costor no cost procedures to pet owners themselves, or at least haveinformation that may lead you to that end. Be sure to exhaustthose possibilities before spending a lot of money needlessly if youare in tight economic circumstances. Some of the money savedcould be used to better house and care for your bun later on, orprovide for other necessary veterinarian care as it becomes necessary.
