Movies for holidays...

Movies are a huge part of my life.. along with my books. I always have certain movies I watch for certain holidays without fail. My kids have adopted the practice as well. I am about to sit down and watch my official St. Patty's day movie..

Do any of you have any movies that you watch in honor of a holiday?

For me it is...

Christmas- Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas

Valentine's Day- Sleepless in Seattle and The Notebook

Veteran's Day- Saving Private Ryan, Full Metal Jacket, Platoon

St. Patrick's Day- The Quiet Man

Easter- Cecil B Demille's The 10 Commandments

Mother's Day- Stepmom (cause I am one)

Father's Day- Finding Nemo

My Birthday- The Lord of the Rings Trilogy

My Wedding Anniversary- Ever After

My oldest son's birthday-Smokey and the Bandit, Urban Cowboy and Bring It On ( yes I know, quite a combo)

My youngest son's birthday- All of the Star Wars movies.. usually out of order.. *sigh*

My Daughter's birthday- The Wizard of Oz, Highlander and Mulan

My husbands birthday- Rudy and Happy Gilmore

4th of July- Forrest Gump

National Talk Like a Pirate Day- All of the Pirates of the Caribbean..

Halloween- Sleepy Hollow Depp/Walken/Ricci version and Ginger Snaps

Thanksgiving- The Ref

Christmas- National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation



Halloween- Halloween (all of them), Practical MAgic,wizard of Oz

Veteran's Day is a Tour of Duty marathon.

Christmas is Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer, etc

That's about it.

Whilst all of these movies are very approprate for said holidays I think I Would like to watch them Just any old day with my mexi

On Christmas my whole family (including the BF) watch a christmas story and then my dad leaves the room and the rest of us watch love actually

And of course I do the Night of the Lepus holloween thing now other than that I just watch watever whenever

Actually I like both of the Ginger Snaps movies.. but the first one is the best.. is there more? I kinda stopped watchin after the second one became a train wreck.

There is a prequal that is decent. I have not seen the 2nd one. I need to find these and buy them.

Actually I think it is the prequel that I saw..weren't they at some fort or something? I recall a fort and some poofy mid century steampunk dresses..in the movie I watched anyway.

For me Ginger Snaps was just awesome.. it's like the first Highlander movie.. there's only one of em that counts..LOL

Lol yup the fort.

I have a few movies like that. The rest just don't factor in to my world. Than some movies that don't factor in to my world at all. *grumbles stop messing with my super heroes*
