Mouse is a 3 1/2 year old rescue bun. He came from neglectful conditions and was bumped around 5 different homes before we came to foster him. During the almost year-long foster, it was amazing what time, patience, and the unconditional love was able to accomplish. We were able to potty train him with the first potty he had ever had. And after that, with a little (a lot) of blood (usually mine), sweat, and tears, he became fully house trained. We were amazed as his aggression dwindled, he became less territorial, and he actually began to seek out our affection.
When his original owner came back for him, we all agreed that he was much better off with my husband and myself, and thus he became an official member of the family.
Mouse is truly a testament to what patience (and unlimited one-on-one time with a completely devoted and unemployed grad student) can have on a bun.
This little man is the love of our life, and worth every single hardship we had to overcome with him!
