I deeply apologize for this having nothing to do with rabbits, but I need help. If anyone knows anything (especially if you've ever rescued one) about field mice, please message me or reply to this. Thank you!

Is it a baby or adult? If it is adult, you can just set it free in a field or woods somewhere. If it is a baby, I can't help you. My cat once almost killed a field mouse, but I saved it and I hope it is still alive somewhere.

Where I live we have a ton of them, and a few litters were born in my garage! I have never cared for orphan babies before, but often when it is raining the adults will get really cold and usually stay out of thier homes cold because it is filled with water. For those I warm them up and wait for the rain to die, then release them in the field nearby. So I agree with ChocoClover, if it is an adult release it somewhere safe :) If it is a baby you will definitely need to do some research.
