I'm reall afraid about this with all the possible things it could be. It could be and irritation to infection ive heard and if infection can lead to cysts and cancer. They are poking out enough for me to feel them when i pick her up, an I looked at them and saw they are pinkish but not red or anything . Im really afraid of what it could be and its really freaking me out. What does a normal mother rabbits nipple look like while nursing after so many weeks? Is this just normal? And what should they regular nipple look like?:cry1:

She is eating, but alot. i feed her 5-6 times a day. She always wants to eat (digs it out of her bowl), and drinks a lot of water. Still has a very high personality and a want to be near her babies. The nipples dont seem to be leaking anything either. She makes her cage very messy so I clean her cage 1-2 days now. She doesnt pee alot, because the babies go in the litter box too which i just ordered new ones that she cant rake out the bedding and one for the babies.
How old are the babies? If she's still nursing then they may be a bit larger. What you need to watch for is if any of them look red, are tender or feel warm. That would be a sign of mastitis. Nursing does have a big appetite and will eat and drink more.
They dont seem to hurt because she still willingly feeds them and doesnt flinch when slight pressure is applied. They feel warm and are kind of hard. The area around it is not hard or raised. They are light pink in color. The babies will be a month old by tomorrow so they are pretty big now. Are they just being ruffer with her since they are bigger now?
