The weekend was hectic.

I spent most of Saturday trying to get my computer to work. Ended up being a virus.
I also managed to do a major cleanup in the bunnies room.

Sunday I had to break down Chippy's setup and clean it real good. She's been terrible about peeing out of the box.
Later on I made the traditional boiled dinner....corned beef, cabbage, carrots, potatoes, etc......AND GUINNESS!!! It's too much work to try to make it during the week when I work.
After dinner I fell asleep watching TV and woke up at 3am....been up ever since.
Never did change the litter pans and got plenty of dirty looks this morning.

Today is the 2 year anniversary of my last back surgery. Makes it easy to remember.
Got all the typical jokes....Did they use green stitches? Did they put green food coloring in the IV?...etc.
Funniest thing was, everybody in the O.R. had on green gowns:biggrin2:

Yuck! hope you don't have anymore of those surgeries!

I hate Mondays too. I have lots to do but I won't be cooking corned beef. We don't like it. I do have a roast in the oven tho.

Sometimes I wish I had a double oven. I wanted to make some cookies for the kids.

Ah well, I'll be cleaning and doing laundry today. :vacuum:

Spent the whole weekend doing homework except for Saturday when I took a trip with my bro and friends to Hooters. Yummy food! Of course, the guys weren't looking at the TV's!

Getting ready to get ready for a night on the town and no there won't be drinking involved. :p

I am so unbelievably sore today after (literally) being dragged through a bush backwards yesterday by Smokey. We were out on a ride and he really spooked at some men rounding up sheep so much that he just got himself more and more worked up and dragged me through the woods, nearly knocking me off (and he's a big, strong horse:shock:). Luckily one of my friends was at the stables so I rang her and she came and helped me get him home. It took both of us about half an hour just to get him down a hill, through a gate and along a short stretch of road back to the stables. It was so scary though, we are just lucky there were no cars coming as he was spooking right into the middle of the road.

Luckily I had a lesson when I got back so after 10 minutes of doing parelli groundwork he was back to his usual calm self. Poor Smokey - I hated seeing him so scared! Usually he is such a calm horse! :?

I need a long hot bath tonight though.:grumpy:

OUCH! I've been tossed from a horse and I've been dragged... neither aresomething I care to repeat or remember! Take it easy for a couple of days. Lots of hot baths with epsom salts.

I did the Corned Beef and boiled potatoes last night. Too much work on a Monday, between work and my daughter's schedule. Tonight is Viola lessons. She has something to do every night of the week! Not complaining, she's agood kid. But 3 instuments, 2 dance classes, church and running track and field... I'm exhausted just driving her around.

Older daughter called today, wants to get a double piercing in her ear with some kind of new "corkscrew" earring. She just had a major infection in one ear and she's supposed to let the hole close up and heal. It still has a large lump and isn't healed... I feel that she needs to wait and let the ear heal up first. (She already has 6 piercings in one ear and 5 in the other.... and she has major metal allergies, has to be so careful about touches her skin... ) So now she's mad at me, cause I said no... I'm a bad mommy... Just can't win....

I think I need to spend some time with my rabbits. They never ask to get their ears pierced (or anything else for that matter!).

Had you ridden Smokey lately? has the weather taken a turn for the better recently?

Our horses are always idiots the first couple of times they get out and ride in the spring.

Kota usually has his tail straight in the air! It's supposed to be 60° F tomorrow... I'll have to see if I can get somevideo or pictures.

Yes, I'd just ridden him up the exact same route the day before and he was fine, which is what made it so strange.:huhI think it was just one of those things really...he got spooked by one thing and then because he was feeling scared he kept scaring himself by more and more little things so it all just built up on him. :?I think also because we were in some woods he was probably feeling quite claustrophobic which made it worse.

I think I'll take him back along in a few days with one of my friends and her horse just to make sure he's fine with that route before going along on our own. It was scary though, just reminded me that no matter how reliable horses canseem they can still have their dangerous moments!
