hi my polish doe has one bunny in the cage with her the bunny is 8weeks old i think the mom is pulling the hair off the bunny the bunny have some thin hair on her should i remove the bunny from the cage:? why is she doing this? thanks for helping

she could be overgrooming or as the baby is 8 weeks itis ready to leave and have its own hutch.

and if the doe is feelingready to mate againshe could be trying to hump the baby as they pull on the fur to get each other in the mood.

Or her hormones have gone a bit mad and rather than plucking herself she is plucking the baby.

WHatever at 8 weeks i would probably move the baby into its own hutch

I think the momma is telling you she needs her own space and isn't keen on sharing any more. If you wanted to bond them, my suggestion would be to spay to mother. If you intend to breed her again, I'd remove the baby and give it it's own cage space.
