molly the hamster got worse yesterday

hi all

i changed mollys bedding hopefully that she was going to be ok

but the sniffing and snorting and coughing was getting worse

so i emailed a breeder as re this and she had said she might have a cold or respiratery problems

so i took her to see my vet (lovely man ) neil

he checked her chest and it was fine he also said when she was sneezing was it snotty or greenish in colour

well i would say it was just like a spray of water

so anyway hes put her down as beening allwegic to the wood shavings

so she was given an injection of prednisolone ro open up the passages

and instesd of shavings she is now on shredded j clothes and newspaperand the difference is quite amazing

May I make a suggestion? It may be a lot easier on you if you used carefresh. Cleaning and smell that is.
