Mixed-race twins (one black / one white)

I saw something like this once and they were worried there were two fathers..... some gal huh? lol.

My hubby's cousin has several mixed children and they are all different colors and hairtypes.... One baby was VERY light and another really dark..... it's interesting.

Hmm, that is very interesting about the first set of girl twins, but it's even more interesting about the second set of girl twins. And how one of them took after their father, and the other took after their mother.

There is a condition called chimerism that can make one child both colors. It is from twins, such as the ones mentioned in the article (one light, one dark), and the embryos fuse together while in utero. The freakiest ones are split right down the middle. One side is dark, one is light. Sometimes, the baby can even have one set of male genitals on one side, a set of female genitals on the other. Most cases cannot be detected just by looking at people. You need genetic testing there.

wow, that's amazing. i do hope the girls don't have trouble when they get older though. and i wonder what the odds are of having twins twice in a row w/out in vitro(sp?)?

I recently watched a television special about Crimerics. They had a baby boy who was split right down the middle black/white. It's very interesting.

I was in Sydney catching the ferry and there was a kind old man who was patterned like cow like mainly white but he had big brown splodges all over him. There was barely anyseats left cept one by me and he sat down and suddenly all these middle aged people got up and stood away from him:X we had a grand old chat about James Bond haha and he told me he was greatful that I didn't move when sat by me, I took that to mean people usually moved away from him:cry2 poor fellow.

I do have to say tho that those kiddies and bubbas are gorgeous, I think I may go do some research on it as it sounds fascinating.

I think my ex-boyfriend may have had chimerism. On one side of his face, his eyebrows and eyelashes were white-blonde, on the other side, they were a darker brown. His doctor said that it was possible, but to find the organ(s) that are different for genetic testing would be expensive.

I think I saw this on a documentary before, about a baby that was white on one half of his body and black on the other. It's pretty cool though, imagine being those girls and saying ''this is my twin'' I bet people would find it hard to believe lol.
