Miss Clover

Ihave been lurking on this board formonths. I was able to borrow a camera and took a pic of my bunny. Hername is Clover, she is 10 months old anda Holland Lop. Fullof personality. She is semi friends with the dog, Flubber. Flubberlikes to swipe Clover with her tongue which drives her insane.:bunnydance:As soon as the tongue touches her, she is takinga bath. Trying to get those dog cooties off as fast as she can. Hehe.My son thinks that is so funny.
Thank you to those who PM'ed me with suggestions and welcomes lastweek. This is a wonderful board and I have learned so much fromreading.

Clover is beautiful.

One day I must get a black bunny.

My husband would kill me if I ask for another one now. Wehave 4 white Bunnies at the moment, 1 ND, 2 Mini Lops (at least thatswhat they we sold as, they are pretty big) and 1 lionhead.

Thanksfor the replies. I would love toadd more bunnies to our family. But, we can't afford anymore mouths tofeed. We have the dog Flubber, the cat Chessee and Clover. I neverthought a bunny would be so loveable and such a joy to own. She wasoriginally bought for our son but she is my baby. She is spoiledrotten. The dog and cat are spoiled as well but Clover is rotten.

She is totally black with tiny white/grayish spots on her front paws. Loves to lick me and loooooves her snacks.

Clover's a very Stunning Black Beauty. Her coat is so shiny andgorgeous. I love Holland Lops. I have one myself and they're asbeautiful on the inside as they are on the out.

I'm glad you finally posted. You didn't have to wait until you had a picture.

So, you stole her from your son, ey? She's "your baby". Isn't that justthe way it goes, too. I never knew how much fun, personable, smart, andmischief makers they are until I owned one too. They have molded meinto just who they want me to be. I worry more about their health thanmy own - like many (if not all) of the members of this forum.

The kisses she gives you is their sign of Deep Love. Congratulations! :balloons:

I do have one question since I have readmultiple answers on it. What is the lifespan for a Holland Lop? I hadsomeone tell me that worked at a pet store that Holland Lops have theshortest lifespan? It scared me so I have been worriedabout it.

She is in her playpen as I type this. Chasing her shadow andlooking for the snacks. I have hadto hide them as she wouldhop on top of her cage to get into them. Sneaky little bunny.

Pamnock, an ARBA Judge, a rabbit expert, and breeder of holland lops,being one of her breeds, says that most hollands average 6 years old.

There are, of course, exceptions to the rules, and I hope to God to break that as that's how old Fauna is.

Pam says, and a lot of the books say, that rabbit can live 5-10 years.Doesn't really matter the size. That said, with good genetics, cleanenvironment, unstressful lifestyle, there are many members that havehad rabbits live to be 13 or so. Some say the mixed breeds tend to dobetter then the purebreds.

Thank you, Carolyn for your response. It iskinda nice to know but then kinda not nice to know the answer... Thelady at the petstore made me think lifespan was only a year or so. Shewas comparing Holland Lops to hamsters. :?

When Holland Lops get older, are they as energetic? Or do they becomelazy? I love Clover's personality as she is wacky and unpredictable.She nips and zig zags aound my ankles which is soo cute. She slides onthe bathroom floorright into the wall which tickles ourson.Anyway, I love her energy so was just wondering if shewill become mellow with age.

what i dont get is i sent many baskets out yet your the onlyone to complain that you didnt get it, then i sent you a check and youclaim you didnt get it. to me thats just a bit to dangfishy. i refuse to send you anymore money. fromtalking to the post office, it was not misplaced.even the one i sent to canada made it . it just really pissesme off you cant stop your crap.
