Okay, so I thought I'd get yall's opinions on my mini rexes :) Be brutal.

They're all in a super-molt so its really just type I'm wondering about :p

Oh, and I'm also wondering if I'm posing them right? I mean, I get the whole front toes line up with the eye, back toes line up with the hip thing but actually doing it is a whole nother story XD Even after being bribed with cheerios there was still lots of leaning and pulling. Oh well.

C.Cuz CBSW1 (Oreo) (buck)

Judges' comments: Great density, nice width to shoulders, could use heavier bone and filling out a little in the HQ. Little long in ear. (I can't remember all that they said, but overall they really liked him)

Wins: 2 BOB, 1 BOS,2 BOV, 1 BIS

GC Will's Linden (buck)

Judges' comments: Very good head and ears. Good midsection and HQ. Nice width, slopes too quick. A little long in the shoulder.

Will's Buttercup (brood doe)

My thoughts: I'm not really good at typing them yet but I LOVE her head and ears :)

She is currently bred to Oreo. I tried palpating todayand didn't feel anything but it was my first time ever trying and I only bred her on Sept. 1st. Fingers crossed :)

I pretty much agree with the Judges on the two bucks. Oreo could use a little moredepth and a fuller lower HQ bot overall a very nice buck. I would like to see a little more bucky head on him which would make his ears look more balanced. Ears count very littlewith MR anyway so I don't really worry about them as long as they don'tgo over in length.Linden could also use a little more fullness in the lower HQ but very nice as well. I don't think his shoulders look that long in the pictures. The doe is lovely, I would put her to work in my barn. She has very nice type and a nice lower HQ which should work well with Oreo.

Just letting you know they aren't posed correctly. They need to be bunched up a bit more so that their back paws nearly touch their front legs, if that makes any sense.

And also have their front paws directly under their heads and flat on the table.

I breed Mini Rex but I can't really explain how to pose them all that well so hopefully someone else will come along and help you out there.

Otherwise I too agree with the judge's and RAL's comments.

Mini Rex are to be posed with the front toes in line with the eyes and the back toes in line with the hips. The rabbits above are posed correctly, as far as I've been taught.:) Here's a good website on posing and typing- http://cottonwoodfarms.tripod.com/pencil.html

Oreo looks nice, but I would like to see more depth and shorter ears on him. He does look to be nice and wide over the top, but lacks a little when you reach the lower hindquarter.

I mostly agree with the judge's comments on Linden, although he looks to lack flesh in the lower hindquarter as well.

I actually think I like the doe the best, type-wise. She is just a little longer and narrower than the boys, it seems.

I should also point out that I'm still learning type too. But those are the things that stood out to me. Overall, I think you have a nice little trio there.:D

Thanks for the comments :D I'm excited for the show coming up on October 30th. They should be in tiptop condition by then :)
Thanks for the link Julie, that should help alot :big kiss:

You going to the October 30th show in Shepardsville La~la~land? I know i'm going. i'm going to look for a tort buck with nice shoulders while I am there.

What color is Linden supposed to be? Looks like a Broken blue, but his rear is...urine stained..or just changing colours? Did you show him in that condition?

Emily
Hes a broken blue. Yea, he decided to be a stupid little buck and pee all over himself :p Plus he was sun stained. Nope, he hasn't been shown since he was younger, before I bought him. Hes molting it all out right now.
