Medicines for rabbits

ive noticed many medicines commonly used for pplare used for rabbits as well, such as simethicone, SMZ,pedialyte.........now for the treatment of diareaha its normallysuggested to give oats .......has anyone tried using loperamide(immodium a-d) or pepto bismol...or even if someone could justfind plain peptone or bsmuth to stop diareaha in rabbits? iwas just wondering

My friends grandmother used to breed rabbits,she said if they get diarheh then they can have a little bit of peptobismol. She bred rabbits for many many many years.

Hmm, I can't find anything. There aredrugs to make the intestines move more, but I can't find anything fordiarrhea, at least in my resources. I would think that wecouldn't use people drugs for rabbit diarrhea as our intestines workdifferently.

My aunt says the same thing. She used to breed in 4-H about 15 years ago and told me that the other day.

Biosol (dri-tail) is sometimes used for its anti-bacterial properties.
