matting problem

hi I found a mat under willows chin and I cant get it when i flip him over he tightens up and wont move his front feet when I try from the top he just tucks his head in. Please help me

Have you tried wrapping Willow in a towel to do it? Or maybe it's a 2-person job.

I'm more successful with Neville in an area he doesn't like (back end) doing it with 2 people. My husband helps by rubbing is forehead and talking soothingly to him while I work in the area he doesn't want touched. We only do it for a minute or two and then let him up. Give him a little while to explore and then do the whole thing over again. It's really less stressful for everyone. Just takes time and patience.

I have tried the 2 person but it hasn't worked no one in my house other than me is experienced enough I will try the towel

I shaved around his shoulders but I am wondering should I just shave it all off so it will all be the same length? he is inside so I dont have to worry about weather.

I wouldn't cut any more than you have to. He doesn't care how he looks.

Shame because we aren't really experienced, especially with all the hair Neville has, and it's working for us.

Sounds like you got the mat out by shaving.

he is a show rabbit it needs to be the same length. I still havnt got the mat under his chin out... I will try again.
