ok as most of you know brownie had her babiesjune 7th. she had 12 in the liter. when they get older and to help me keep track ofwho is who i was going to mark them in their ears with asharpie. i was thinking like 2 to 3 weeksold. is this old enough to do this or should i wait a bitlonger? any suggestions?

ok thnx i didnt know if the smell from the marker would affect mom on feeding them. :)

I dont know aboutthat....you would have to ask gypsy or pam. The babies I had, had to beaway from their mom, because she attacked them :disgust:Ijust know what it wont hurt the babies, but I dont think (dont hold meto it) it would bother the mom.

the smell of asmall sharpy shouldnt botherthe mom toomuch , but them bigger stinkierones certainly would , I hatethe smell of them bigpermenent markers ,wont even have them in the house ,2 weeks would bebetter if the mom is still abit flakey , how is shedoing with the flip andfeed system , getting betterused to it ?

mom is still freaking out about being flippedand wont stay still long enough to let the little onessuckle. ive tried numerous times and she would rather tearthe poo out of me and bite! so far they are still active soim really hoping they make it, but i know theresa chance thatthe 4 smallest ones may not. the others are lookinggreat!! plump as can be for a day oldhehe! ill definetly keep updates on all of them!

Dont flip her. Itll only make her want to kickand risk injuring the babies. try taking her nest to her twice a day.Once in the morning. Once at night. You can put a little bit of hay orfeed in the nest to encourage her to feed them.

oh im not no more lol we had onelittle one pass away this morning but the rest she seems to be feedingwell, all had full bellies even the little runts.im really hoping and praying the other 3 little runts survive!

I had to use theflip and feed system for my babies, believe me the scratches wereHORRIBLE! But I had to do it, she wasnt feeding them, you just have tomake her feel secure.
