Anyone else ready for the big storm? Here in New Jersey we are expecting upwards of 14".

I would also suggest bringing in your outside rabbits and other animals.

where i am at they are only saying 4-8 inches, we will see, hopefully it will stall like that storm that gave us over 30 inches before, lol

I still remember the 1996 storm that dumped 30 inches. Took me two days to dig out. My crazy landlord expected me to dig out the entire driveway. The driveway was long and wide. Yeah if I was in great shape and ten years younger maybe. She was weird anyway (that is whole different subject). Anyway they finally got someone with a plow and a snow blower to dig out the driveway. The roads were also closed because Governor Whitman declared a state of emergency. Fun time.

I was living in the Ohio snowbelt in 1996 when we were hit with a record of nearly 70 inches of snow! The National Guard had to come in and truck it out.

well we got 5 or so inches, i had to take my son to the doctors and was really suprised that the main road was as bad as it was, i only slid two times, lol. Here i was driving the whole time without the four wheel drive on,lol, i thought i had it on,lol. Now it is just real light flurries now, looks like it is done

Our company had a delayed opening....10 am (EST).

We had about 8 inched by then.
The roads were treacherous at best.

It stopped snowing by us at around 11 - 11:30a....and the sun actually came out!

The storm is running up both side of my area, but missing us for the last couple of hours.
There's another large cell of storms just south of us that will probably hit in a couple of hours.....just in time for when we go home.

My family back in Los Angeles has heard that the north east is getting a storm and keeps calling me to ask how much snow there is.
Then I have to explain that Ithaca only got flurries today, but it's really cold and windy. Then they ask about the snow again.
sigh
